Linux on the M6 Mac Mini, Day 5 - success! Omarchy is installed on the Mac Mini's hard drive. It boots, it runs. Still bringing up accessories, including Ethernet and GPU, so my work's not done, but 5 days from the macOS About screen to the Omarchy About screen isn't bad!

Are the M4's supported too? Maybe I missed the memo 😅. I have a new Macbook Air I want to switch over to Omarchy on.

Maybe the "everything" was the friends we made along the way. The ones we play anti cheat games with, even.

Five days from a fresh M6 Mac Mini to a bootable Omarchy desktop is serious progress. Looking forward to seeing the GPU and Ethernet fully online.

5 days from the macOS about screen to omarchy booting off the drive is a fast port. once ethernet and gpu come up, that's a serious little dev box.

Day 5 to a bootable desktop on a brand-new M chip is wild. How much of that was Asahi groundwork vs. agents chewing through the hardware docs?

the GPU is where day 5 turns into month 5 though 😬

Battery life is the number that will decide it for most MacBook people. I'm planning to run the same workload on my M1 Air under both and post the hours.
