This is a very textbook phenomenon in the market called “rotation out of all the names you specifically own and into names you don’t”. This happens when all the market participants have a meeting you aren’t invited to and decide they hate you.

Been obsessed with the stock market since I was a teenager. Have traded through the dotcom bubble, the financial crisis and just about every market mania since. But I’ve never seen anything like the skepticism surrounding AI. Not even close. Every time one bubble narrative falls apart a new one takes its place. Rumors become headlines. Misleading data goes viral. Claims that could be debunked with 5 minutes of research get repeated by major media outlets, influential investors and Wall Street analysts. It’s relentless and honestly pretty fascinating to watch. Of course there will be spectacular failures and massive wealth destruction along the way. That’s what happens during technological revolutions. But I’ve never witnessed this much effort to convince the world that something so transformative is actually one giant speculative bubble destined to take the entire economy down with it. I understand why AI scares people. What I find harder to understand is why so many investors seem to be rooting for it to fail.

if a corporate tried to bribe the public into underwriting its IPO (+ absurd insider windfalls that come with it), this'd be pretty much what you'd expect to see?
I have a better idea: you'll give the shares directly to the public and we add 3-year lockups for insiders on top
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit.
It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion.
In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding.
In the post below, we share more details about our new fund.

sooo what I didn't get to say
incredible engineering, no doubt!
but aerial flips, inverted parking and driving up walls?
the avg joe has no use for that, and no use case typically means no earnings which is hard to translate positively into equity prices
so counterintuitively, could there be any world in which this benefits elon?
the answer is yes lol (in fact some may say he has an economic incentive to temp suppress tesla's share price)
you see, $TSLA and $SPCX are widely expected to merge
elon owns ~40% of spacex, but only ~20% of tesla
so in an all-stock deal, every 10% tesla trades lower at signing hands elon another ~0.5ppt of the combined company (or $16-21bn in today's prices)
paid for by every other $TSLA shareholder
incredible stuff really
The fact I can no longer place small notional trades on @papertrade_xyz actually makes me more bullish.

Friendly remind $ETH has carried the entire crypto industry on its back before and it can do it again
$ETHBTC pairing confirms & this thing can spike rather quickly. Don't let the past 3-4 years of underperformance jade your ability to capitalize on it
Tom MotherFucking Lee !
The thing is, $ETH has carried $BTC in the past. Reason why people don't believe it? It happened almost 10 years ago, so most people either weren't trading crypto during that time OR have been so scarred with Ethereum's underperformance the past years they won't believe it.
Note the fractal the arrows are pointing too in the top chart of $ETHBTC pairing.
Suddenly, then all at once.

If Sam Bankman-Fried's FTX didn't liquidate its investments following the collapse, it would still hold:

• Robinhood: $6.7 billion (11x)
