Community dogs/cats' feeding spots in Pune's housing societies are now mandatory, thanks to PMC. "Feeding community animals is not only a fundamental right but also a constitutional duty, as per orders from the Supreme Court and the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI)," states the PMC circular.
PMC also clarifies that any managing committee found engaging in arbitrary and illegal activities concerning stray dogs/cats will be held liable. Injuring or killing any animal falls under a cognizable offence punishable under Section 428/429 (IPC), including cats.
PMC Circular adds: SC judgment and directions state relocating or removing community or stray dogs under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, and Stray Dogs Rules, 2001, are illegal and punishable by law. No one has the authority to remove or prevent them from entering premises. 🐕

My reporting on deadly beef trade exposed me to the cruel nature of commercial dairy industry as well. Cows-buffaloes are used & thrown. I hv slowly cut down on commercial milk & milk products
Hypocricy of advocacy groups aside, I think going meat-free & minimising dairy is good
