Four years ago, @KaranKunjur and @neelkunjur made a contrarian bet: while the satellite industry was building smaller, the most important missions in space would require more power, aperture, and mass.
Since then, @K2SpaceCo has successfully flown Gravitas and signed more than $1 billion in commercial and government contracts. Now, the company is preparing to scale production.
We’re thrilled to co-lead K2’s Series D and continue our partnership with Karan, Neel, and the team.
@LucasLGOliveira visited them at K2’s factory in Torrance to see the operation up close and hear what comes next.

I'd followed the @EngramLab team's work for years before they joined together to start the company. It was clear they were each obsessed with a problem most of the industry hadn't fully appreciated yet: memory.
Engram gives an organization a memory its AI can reuse, so models stop relearning the same context on every query. The results hold up against frontier systems at a fraction of the cost.
They are out of stealth today with $98M raised. So excited to lead their Series A & partner with @dan_biderman, @EyubogluSabri, @realJessyLin, @jxmnop, @scott_linderman, and Chris!

Markie is one of the most prescient people I know on AI, and I've been lucky to have a front row seat since the beginning. @PoeticHQ hit an 8-figure run rate and became profitable in 2025 with just 4 people. At a moment when token ROI is under scrutiny everywhere, @markiewagner and the Poetic team have already built a viable solution.
KP blog with the story behind the investment - kleinerperkins.com/perspecti…
Introducing @PoeticHQ: a new AI system that executes complex multi-hour tasks with 99%+ accuracy and 10x fewer tokens than agents.
We raised $50M at $500M from Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, First Harmonic, and Genius Ventures to build AI that does complex work inside Fortune 500 companies without hallucination.
While code is too brittle, agents are too unpredictable. The work that runs the global economy - anti-money laundering, fraud investigations, underwriting - needs extreme accuracy.
So we built a new kind of software that pairs the flexibility of AI with the predictability of code.
When the world stays the same, Poetic runs fixed code: fast, cheap, identical every time. When the world changes, Poetic uses AI to regenerate its approach and find its way back to the objective.
In one year, we went from zero to an eight-figure run rate as a team of four.
Since then, we’ve scaled the team and executed the highest-stakes processes at AIG, SoFi, and Chime. At SoFi, a large US bank, Poetic reached 99%+ quality on fraud investigations in five weeks.
We are Poetic.
And we are excited to deepen our partnerships with the numerous global companies that have partnered with us in the most critical areas of their businesses.
From here, we want to enable every business and person to leverage the power of AI while being able to run their systems and processes accurately, reliably, and deterministically. There is a new way of building a business. There is a new form of software.

Excited to share @RoadrunnerAI has raised $27M in funding across a $5.2M seed led by @mamoonha at @kleinerperkins and a $22M Series A led by @traestephens at @foundersfund.
We started the company in August - and the business has basically been happening to us since we incorporated.
Building AI agents for the enterprise to run one of their most important production systems is not for the faint of heart. But the pain around CPQ is very real, and we’ve been overwhelmed by demand from companies looking for a better way forward.
Our ability to serve more customers in pursuit of building a generational company is almost entirely bottlenecked by our ability to hire the top 1% of talent. If you're interested in joining us, reach out!
Thanks to @agarfinks and @FortuneMagazine for covering part of the story! Link to article in comments!

Roadrunner started inside our San Francisco office, our first incubation since @Glean.
We spent a lot of time looking at where enterprise software is breaking down, and one category kept coming up: CPQ. It sits at the center of every enterprise deal, yet the category hasn’t kept pace with how modern deals actually get done. @RoadrunnerAI is rebuilding it from scratch.
Excited to work with @Joubinmir, @ajnatarajan, @eshao18, and the incredible team they’re building.

To make history, you have to honor it.
A look back at the people, partnerships, and defining moments that shaped Kleiner Perkins, and still guide how we back founders today.

For more than 50 years, Kleiner Perkins has partnered with founders at moments of inflection. AI is reshaping every industry from the ground up, faster than anything we've seen before. This is the moment to build.
Today, we're proud to announce KP22, our twenty-second venture fund: $1 billion to back early-stage companies, alongside $2.5 billion in growth funds to back high-inflection, category-defining businesses.
A moment like this is where the most enduring companies take root. Deep founder relationships and hands-on support matter more than ever, and we believe in lean investment and portfolio operating teams that work on founder time to deliver exactly that.
We're so grateful to the founders and LPs who have trusted us over the years. We couldn't be more excited to partner with the next generation of history-making companies.

Across basically all scaling early-stage startups I know (even now in the age of AI codegen) - there is always an unsung hero infra/security engineer who is a key part of fixing every severe outage. Early days @scale_AI it was Calvin Huang. Who are other good examples of this?

Excited to finally share more about KP’s first incubation since Glean: @RoadrunnerAI.
Building this company with Ajay Natarajan, Eugene Shao, and our incredible team has brought me the most energy I’ve ever felt in my career. Grateful to @kleinerperkins and @mamoonha for backing this - and for letting us build upstairs in the SF office for the past several months 😬.
Huge thank you to our design partners who took an early bet on us to codevelop a solution that finally fixes CPQ.
We marked the moment by flipping the script on the @KPGrit podcast. Mamoon interviewed me about my story and how many unlikely turns ended up pointing toward Roadrunner.
If you’re interested, reach out. I’ve never seen this level of pent-up customer demand, and I’ve never seen an engineering team ship with this level of velocity and craft.

We're heading west to San Francisco! 🌉🇺🇸
When @thejamescad and I met in the hallways of @spc in New York City, we knew that whatever we decided to dedicate the next 10 years of our life would be built in NYC.
In the past 14 months, we've grown @profound from just two people with laptops into a thriving business with 82 teammates, serving 1,000+ enterprise customers across three offices.
Now we're opening a new office in San Francisco dedicated to Tech & GTM.
