Sentinel-2 separates beech from spruce so clearly at 10m resolution. A good reminder of what European Earth observation can do, useful data far beyond nice pictures.

If Terafab is the only path to extreme scale, the merger stops being optional. Chips are the constraint. Hesitation costs more than integration here.
You may have mistyped that - because Capital and chips is the constraint on the Tesla side.
Elon Musk has stated this many times. The Terafab announcement. Multiple interviews. On X.
Is your idea of Growth 20% YOY? It isn’t mine for Optimus and CyberCab. It isn’t Wall Street. But that is the rate the chip industry continues to grow.
Competitors would catch up. The stock maybe moves up to a slightly higher range but it doesn’t do a true rerate….
The cultures of the engineers is the same. The enterprise software is the same. The CEO is the same. It doesn’t split focus. It allows the best engineers in the world to self assign to what they will do best.
Great news. A GEO slot is one thing, a complete NavIC constellation is another. Controlling your navigation end to end is the real win. Congrats ISRO.

Finally I can use NavIC on my smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset!!! 🔥🇮🇳

Dr. Khalid Al Naqbi, Vice President of Product and Engineering, joined gsoa for the webinar “The Intelligent Satellite: Software-Defined Payloads, Flexible Networks and What Comes Next”.
He discussed how Thuraya-4’s software-defined payload gives Space42 the flexibility to support a wide range of services. The conversation also turned to the closer integration between satellite and mobile networks, and the role of AI and autonomy in satellite operations, including operational and cybersecurity risks.
Panelists included Jean-Baptiste Thépaut, Principal, Novaspace; Ken Takagi, Director, Strategy Communications and Special Projects, SES; Gilles Obadia, Vice President Space Inspire Programs, Thales Alenia Space; and Shahbaz Ali, Vice President of Product and Engineering, Sateliot.

Is the south pole the right place for a #lunar base? By @jeff_foust in The Space Review (@tsr) thespacereview.com/article/5… #Lunapolitics 🇺🇸
Access to leadership like this matters. You can study the space industry for years, but questioning the people shaping it teaches more in an hour.
I have to admit the cadence is impressive. A three-core stack on its first constellation mission, already 18 satellites per launch. That's how you build a LEO broadband network fast.

Impressive numbers, but I'm not surprised. Missile-tracking satellites and secure comms are where the money goes now. When the US triples its defense space budget while Europe debates, hesitation costs ground.

CHAMATH: THE SPACE FORCE'S BUDGET REQUEST IS NOW 3X NASA'S
One of the most interesting charts from his new space industry research:
- FY'23: Space Force's regular budget overtook NASA's
- FY'27: Space Force requests $59.2B vs. NASA's $18.8B
- Another $12.1B is proposed for the Space Force through separate funding
The US government's space priorities are shifting toward defense
That means more demand for missile-tracking satellites, communications networks, and national security launches
For Rocket Lab, this is relevant given its $1.3B in SDA satellite awards and growing HASTE business
The FY'27 figures are requests not approved budgets, but the direction is clear
358 sursauts gamma en deux ans, ça montre ce qu'une coopération bien menée peut produire. Je trouve rare des projets qui tiennent leurs promesses scientifiques à ce point. Bravo aux équipes SVOM, prix largement mérité.

Even ex-Falcon 9 engineers can't get a rideshare. Building good propulsion is one thing, getting to orbit is another. The hard part was never the tech.
Three former SpaceX engineers who worked on the Falcon 9 founded a cool company to build water-powered spacecraft. Now they can't get a rideshare, so for their next mission they're flying on a "new" rocket.

Good deal for MDA. Less good news for European antenna makers who could have carried this workload. A secure constellation built partly on foreign components is a fragile kind of sovereignty.
L'UE et le Canada, c'est un partenariat logique, surtout sur l'aérospatial et les technologies critiques. Aligner les discours, c'est une chose. Aligner les industries et les financements, c'en est une autre. J'attends de voir les projets concrets.
